The Governor, in company of the Speaker Imo House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Acho Ihim and the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Ugonna Ozurigbo, made this appeal as he inspected blocked drainage at Akwakuma Roundabout which has led to flooding in the area whenever rain pours.

He said, the "Imo My Pride initiative" of his government aims at restoring Imo State to its pride of place, as it was many years ago, with sanity in all spheres.

He said the program will involve the 3 major towns of Owerri, Orlu and Okigwe.

Many feel that with this latest act of the Governor Imo may be heading for el doardo which can only be achieved if Imolites support this initiative.
