Governor Rochas Springs To Action On Old Nekede Road


On the orders of the Executive Governor of Imo State Owelle Rochas Okorocha after his visit to the site of the old Nekede Road laid waste by erosion and man-made environmental abuse.
The States Environmental task-force team stormed the dredging sites beyond the erosion site to give the dredgers and excavators an ultimatum to desist from abusing the land any further or face the full weight of the law.

According to Chief Okechukwu Azu, the State Chairman Taskforce on Illegal Collection of Revenue, Levies, Dredging And Sand Excavation, henceforth, any pay-loader, truck or dredging machine found in that area risks being confiscated indefinitely by the state government. 
The residents living in the area were full of praises and pledged their support to help stop this menace. Government cannot do everything.
The Chairman further stated that the Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, is just a man like you and I and needs your prayers and support.
