Prince Eze Madumere honoured in Lagos

Yesterday, Mr. humility, the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere who was represented by Sir Calistus Ekenze was honoured by Imo State Towns Development Association, Lagos (ISTDAL) as a life Patron for his humility, unflinching support, loyalty and commitment to the course Owelle Rochas Okorocha led Rescue Government and for the welfare of Ndi Imo at home and in diaspora.
Today, the executive members of ISTDAL led by their President Pastor Okey Anoruo with the woman leader, Mrs. Lilian Amako played host the Deputy Governor, Prince Madumere and formally handed over the plaque and other materials as a Life Patron of ISTDAL.
The Chief host, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Lagos Liaison, Ikenga Steve Asimobi, Ezinwa (Barr.) Kingsley Ononuju, Adviser to the Governor on Cassava production and Agribusiness, Chief I.B Okafor, Prince Chijioke Madumere, Chief John Uzowuru among other great men and women of Imo State were on hand to witness the event.
In his acceptance speech, Prince Madumere poured his hearts to the Imo indigenes in Lagos describing the honour as historical. He reminded his hosts that the same group had honoured him ten years ago with an award of excellence even when he was not in government. He assured them he will ever stand with them  and will always answer their call in thick and thin.

He urged them to be united and ensure they help one another especially those who need help among them. He also reminded them of the need to come home and invest, which he said is the key to the development of Imo State and Igboland in general.

He took time to reel out the state of affairs in Imo State, the vision of Owelle Rochas Okorocha and efforts towards repositioning Imo State for future challenges.

He stressed the need for the group to work hard towards ensuring that cherished values of Ndi igbo is preserved especially Igbo language, which he described as the identity of a people.
