Charly Boy to Empower 50 South East Women

As part of its core mission of empowering the youths and women of the south-east region of Nigeria, the organizers of Njiko Carnival are giving out soft loans of N50,000 each to 50 women within the region.
This is to support their petty trading, knowing that they are the ones saddled with the weight of fending for their immediate families, especially in this recession.

Speaking on behalf of the organizers, the Official Face of the Carnival, Mr. Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa aka Charly Boy , hinted that the beneficiaries, who were keenly selected across the 5 eastern states are expected to utilize the interest-free loans to turn over their trade and are expected to pay back within a specified period of time. The prompt pay-back would be plunged back to empower more women on a larger scale .

The organizers of Njiko Carnival are in high hopes that these women would demonstrate a good level of prudence such that there wont be any reason to default in paying back the loans when the time comes.
The children of these women who constitute the youths of the region have expressed their appreciation to Njiko for bringing this great opportunity especially at these austere times when it is extremely difficult, if not impossible for traders like their mothers to raise the smallest amount of loans even from wealthy family members.

Empowerment is a strong part of the carnival and to this effect, previous editions have seen the donation of equipment as well as empowerment via skill acquisition as well as mentoring of these youths.
