Imo Deputy Speaker Condemns unwonted killings in Imo State

The Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly has condemned the unwonted killing of individuals in the city  of Owerri.
Rt. Hon. Ugonna Ozurigbo made this known while visiting the parents of late Ndubueze Emeka Junior aka Jayboy, a fresh graduate of Imo State University, who was shot dead  by unknown hoodlums just recently at a student hostel around the campus; in company of the APC Party Chairman of Nwangele, Barr. Jude Uzoukwu and members of Friends of OZB International.

While speaking to King George, as the father of the slain young chap is referred to as, at his Amaigbo country home, he made it clear that it was time to put an end to the wanton killing of students by their fellow students.

He disclosed that the killings have now gotten out of hand stressing that the government can no longer turn a blind eye to these incessant  murders.

Continuing the emotional laden legislator consoled the saddened father of Jayboy urging him to take heart while assuring him that the police has taken charge of the case and will surely do their possible best to fish out the killers of young Emeka.

King George who was in a state of grief noted that there was no reason why a man will take another's life especially that of his only son.
He noted that he was highly devastated and can only pray to God to grant his son rest in his bosom.
Many have described the death of Jayboy as a hapless situation as those who knew him as a student of Political Science, disclosed that he was a quiet an jovial student.

A source informed DPB that the police are on top of the matter and are making headway in the matter as a few arrest have been made while other culprits will be caught soon.
