Priest Shoots Colleague in Imo

A senior catholic priest at St.Mary's Catholic Church, Eziama, Isiala Mbano LGA in Okigwe Diocese of Imo State is alleged to have shot his follow priest over a dispute which has lasted between the priest and his colleague for a while now.

The priest was reported to have shot his assistant last Wednesday if not the intervention of God, who saved the Amaraku born-priest (name withheld).

There is an indication that the bishop of the diocese has taken up the matter to save the image of the church.
However, DPB gathered that the Bishop has been making arrangements to remove the priest from the parish and condemn him to a suspension in the coming days.
Our source revealed that the priest is yet to speak on the matter insisting that the diocese is on top of the matter.

It is not clear the level of injury sustained by the assistant priest from the gunshot.
