Daniel Nwafor Emerges Imo APC Chairman

The Imo State chapter of the governing All Progressives Congress has elected a new set of vibrant officers into its State Working Committee, to pilot the affairs of the Party for the next four years.

Led by a highly experienced administrator, politician and youthful grassroots mobilizer, Hon. Daniel Madueke Nwafor as State Chairman, the new State Working Committee promises to be one of the most vibrant in the history of Imo politics. The Party is a good mix of the old but vibrant and the young but experienced.

The new State Working Committee is determined to sweep off the last vestiges of oppressors, political brigands, thieves and all shades of corrupt elements from coming close to the Imo State seat of power, to ensure a consolidation of the many achievements of the Party in the last seven years.

The new State Chairman, Hon. Daniel Nwafor had earlier in his speech declared the door open for all Party members who had strayed or those intending to join the Party afresh. He also revealed plans to immediately commence a healing process for the Party by constituting a Reconciliation Committee to bring back all strayed members of the Party to the fold.

According to the Chairman: "I will want to borrow the words of our dear President, Muhammadu Buhari; "I belong to nobody, but I belong to everybody." I will run an open door, all inclusive administration as the State Chairman of our great where every Party member shall have equal rights and opportunities to aspire legitimately according to the Constitution of our great Party."

The State Chairman also applauded the State governor, who is also the leader of the Party in the Southeast for making the job of winning the next generaleasy for the Party, by pursuing goals and implementing policies that are people friendly and masses oriented.

The new State Working Committee was inaugurated by the Attorney-general of the State.
